This is my story, and it will show you why I decided that it was way past time to make a change.

I have spent my life dealing with a number of health issues. At a very young age I needed a hysterectomy. I developed osteoarthritis early in my 30’s. There has always been a problem with my weight from a very young age with ups and downs through my current age 78. I am 5’9″ and the lowest I can remember my weight being was 160 for my first job after high school. From there I have Yoyo’d up from that, adding 20 lbs. for each child- I have three – to an all-time high of 286 at which time I had a gastric bypass and lost 80 lbs. I have had to heart stents, a pacemaker installation, a knee replacement, back surgery and survived 3 cancers (breast, melanoma and metastatic melanoma) but can’t beat the battle with weight.

The bypass weight loss did not last long, and I started to gain. Tried every diet available – Weight Watchers, South Beach, Slim Fast, Atkins, Dance videos, fitness watches, Low Carb, Keto, etc. I would always lose some and gain it right back. I am addicted to sugar, love carbohydrates and salty snacks, and I have a Seafood allergy. The Keto helped me the most with my addictions and I lost 60 lbs. Then my darned thyroid stopped working from cancer radiation, and they all came back.

So What Should I Do?

Now it is time to start living healthier – PERIOD! I started by using the Velocita Biohacking products and they are amazing. I take them every day and wear my EMF protection 24/7. My thyroid condition prevented me from making weight loss strides with Velovita at this time, so I then looked to what am I eating. I found a solution to most of my health issues when I discovered what Hazardous Seed Oils and Processed Foods were and where I was getting them. Therefore, I did some research and want to share with you.

What Are Seed Oils?

Seed oils, often called vegetable oils, include oils extracted from seeds such as:

  • Canola oil (rapeseed oil)
  • Soybean oil
  • Corn oil
  • Sunflower oil
  • Safflower oil
  • Cottonseed oil
  • Grapeseed oil
  • Peanut oil
  • Palm Kernal boil

Why They Are Bad:

  • High in Omega-6 Fatty Acids: These oils are high in omega-6, which, when consumed in excess, can lead to chronic inflammation. Plus, a high omega-6 to omega-3 ratio is linked to various health issues, including heart disease, arthritis, and other inflammatory conditions.
  • Highly Processed: Seed oils are often refined using high heat and chemicals (like hexane), which can lead to the formation of harmful byproducts like trans fats and free radicals that damage cells.
  • Oxidation and Rancidity: Seed oils are extremely prone to oxidation, which means they go rancid quickly, sometimes even before you buy them. Consuming rancid oils can lead to oxidative stress, damaging your cells and accelerating aging.
  • Addictive Nature: High levels of polyunsaturated fats in seed oils activate the brain’s reward centers and make processed foods that are rich in seed oils addictive.

Types of Seed Oils and Where They Are Used

  • Canola Oil: margarine, dressings, fried foods, processed snacks.
  • Soybean Oil: salad dressings, baked goods, and many processed food items.
  • Corn Oil: snack foods, chips, popcorn, and fried foods.
  • Sunflower and Safflower Oil: chips, sauces, and snack foods.
  • Cottonseed Oil: potato chips and margarine.

And how about many processed foods, including:

  • Packaged snacks (chips, cookies, crackers)
  • Frozen foods (pizza, prepared meals)
  • Fast food (frying oil)
  • Salad dressings, mayonnaise, sauces

Are you shocked yet? These things are ruining our lives! Let’s work together starting right now to find more and more ways to get healthier. Read the labels and I will continue to bring you information on this and more ways to do it.
